What is MATHCOUNTS?
MATHCOUNTS is a national mathematics enrichment program and competition sponsored by the National Society of Professional Engineers. Now in its 35th year, the program promotes excellence in mathematics among middle school students through a series of local, state, and national competitions. Participants engage with challenging problems that strengthen problem-solving abilities and expose them to a broad range of mathematical topics, including geometry, algebra, probability, number theory, and statistics. MATHCOUNTS is a rigorous yet rewarding opportunity for students to deepen their mathematical understanding and build critical thinking skills.
